RTP Performance Sleds
Return to Perform (RTP) Multi Block Sled
£3,150.00
The Multi Block Sled is part of the GSI Performance Technical Training Range and can be used in isolation or as part of the full system of products. This piece of equipment has been specifically designed for players returning from injury to isolate the training effect relating to specific hand placement, which can incorporate blocking movements along with body height, leg drive and footwork.
The Multi Block Sled has been specifically designed on runners so that it can be used on grass or on artificial surfaces. The contact frame has been designed to create a number of permutations for the player. It can be set at three different angles (90, 67.5 and 45 degrees) so it challenges the player to enter at different attack angles and stay in the numerous contact points on and around the frame, and also drive the sled dynamically. The unique design of the sled head is the connection between the upright sled shaft and the sled base which is connected by bungees – this design creates a spring load in the shaft, so if the player does not chase their feet within the collision, the shaft forces the player backwards. Added to the movement of the upright shaft is the rotation of the contact frame, the two actions together bring around a different dynamic for the player that they must control.

66in x 26in x 65in. Weight: 231lbs
- The RTP Multi Block Sled has been designed with the sole purpose of allowing players to work on a number of dynamic movements when returning from injury. The player will have to drop his/her body height as they approach the sled. The player must then stay in the initial grip/contact point, because depending on the contact pad angle, there will be a degree of difficulty within the exercise. With this training aid, accurate hand placement and multiple drive positions can be practised in a controlled safe environment before going “live”.
- The RTP Multi Block Sled contact frame and pad sits at three specific angles on the front of the sled which forces the player to drop their height and attack the contact point from varying angles. The player can work on a number of grip and contact points, and can then add chasing their feet, movement principles etc. If the player does not control the contact frame and pad, it will spring back and put pressure on the player. The attacking player must use accurate technique to stay in control of the sled.
- The RTP Multi Block Sled weighs 105kg. Olympic weight plates can be added to increase weight at the “contact frame” end of machine, thus replicating average weight of opposition. Plates fit onto specific weight plate fitting.
- The base runners on the sled are a smooth powder coated finish so that the sled can be used on synthetic pitches (3G and Astro) as well as grass.
